The Unigranrio Caxias Medicine Class of 2019.1 held their graduation ceremony on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Unigranrio campus in Rio de Janeiro. The ceremony was attended by family, friends, faculty, and staff.
The ceremony began with the procession of graduates, followed by the welcome address by the Unigranrio Caxias Dean, Dr. Carlos Eduardo Teixeira. Dr. Teixeira congratulated the graduates on their achievement and wished them well in their future careers.
The keynote address was given by Dr. José Roberto da Cunha, a professor of medicine at the Unigranrio Caxias campus. Dr. Cunha spoke about the importance of compassion and empathy in the practice of medicine.
The graduates then took the Hippocratic Oath, pledging to uphold the highest standards of medical ethics.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of diplomas to the graduates.
The Unigranrio Caxias Medicine Class of 2019.1 is composed of 60 graduates. The graduates are from all over Brazil, and they represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
